Golden Velvet Tellus Sofa by Folke Jansson for S.M. Wincrantz, 1950s

The Tellus range was launched in 1956 in Sweden by manufacturer S.M. Wincrantz and was Folke Jansson's second model for the furniture maker. It is clearly inspired by the new interest in the solar system and space science that became so popular in the 1950s, therefore the name: Tellus. The sofa has a golden velvet fabric and teak legs with round brass feet. It is in a good vintage condition.
